The first recording from the Disney live action Snow White is here.
At D23 on August 9, the first teaser trailer for the movie musical debuted, reviving the 1937 classic. “Disney invites you to revisit the story that started it all,” Walt Disney Studios teased on Instagram, adding a red apple emoji.
Film directed by Marc Webb filming ended in July 2022. The new adaptation stars Rachel Zegler as the iconic title character and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen.
Like the original, the upcoming project also features the characters Dopey, Grumpy, Sneezy, Shahful, Happy, Sleepy and Doc.
The film, which promises to “expand” on the original story, features original songs by Oscar- and Tony-winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and was produced by Marc Platt.

Gadot told PEOPLE at the 2022 D23 show that she took the role very seriously.
“I wanted to make sure that it remains wonderful and delicious, and that we understand what makes it so. Then the badness is interesting, not just flat,” she said.

“For me, it was to make sure that the queen isn’t evil just because she’s evil. There’s complexity. Between those two characters, it’s like a mother-daughter relationship in a weird way,” she added. “That’s what happens to a woman when she feels like she doesn’t matter anymore, which can come out of her.”
The Wonder Woman the star also recalled her experience working with Zegler.

“At the end of the day, neither of us are the type of actors who, when it’s over, we just go to our trailers and wait for our turn again,” she said. “We all stayed and it was a wonderful, communal atmosphere on set. When you have that good chemistry between everyone, it really shows on screen.”
Snow White it’s in theaters March 21.
