Bryan Greenberg talks about the aftermath of the fire in Los Angeles that destroyed his home.
On Friday, Jan. 10, Greenberg, 46, shared a video on Instagram showing some of the destruction left after the fire — including what was left of his home and that of wife Jamie Chung.
In the video, How to do it in America the actor walks silently around his property, filming piles of waste and only a few wooden beams and walls that remain standing.
“It was supposed to be our forever home, but nothing lasts forever,” he captioned the festive video, adding that his followers can find a link to donate to help families affected by the fires in his Instagram bio. “Luckily our family is safe, but other victims of the LA fire are not so lucky. Please donate if you can.”

The couple first said they had lost their home on Wednesday, sharing another photo of the rubble left of their home.
“The family is safe and that’s the only thing that matters. Everything else is just stuff. Thanks for signing up. Take care out there!” he wrote.
He also posted a picture of what appeared to be the ruins of their house. “It was all a dream. Fortunately, the family is safe. Thank you to all the firefighters who risked their lives. Stay safe out there,” he captioned the image.
Before the couple – who married in 2015 and welcomed twin sons in 2021 – evacuated their home, Greenberg reposted a photo of actress Nichelle Hines showing their sons and Chung playfully walking on his back.

“They are doing their best. Life is beautiful for babies before evacuation. The best parents,” she captioned the picture.
The The Land of Lovecraft the actress also posted a message on her Instagram profile, thanking the “brave firefighters” for their service.
“Thank you to all our brave firefighters and firefighters. If you are in the red warning zones, get your bags ready. Safety first. A prayer for all the families affected by the fires,” she wrote.

The devastating Palisades Fire first broke out in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles on January 7. Another large fire, the Eaton fire, broke out in the cities of Pasadena and Altadena in the eastern part of Los Angeles. Four additional fires also continue to burn in the region.
As of Thursday, January 9, more than 100,000 residents are under evacuation orders, and city officials have confirmed ten deaths.

Many other celebrities said they lost their homes in the fires, including Billy Crystal Paris Hilton, Candy Spelling, Cameron Mathison, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt and Ricki Lake.
PEOPLE reported that Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Anna Faris, Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam, John Goodman, Eugene Levy and others also lost homes in the fires.
