Snowboarder Chloe Kim Says She's ‘Jealous’ of Olympian Friend Ilona Maher’s ‘Moves’ on DWTS (Exclusive)

Chloe Kim is ready to cheer on fellow Olympian and friend Ilona Maher in the final Dancing with the stars.

The double gold medallist, 24, says she is “jealous” of the rugby player, 28, and her “moves” on the dance floor. “She’s on fire and she’s got the moves, and I’m jealous,” Kim tells PEOPLE while chatting with Roxy about her new clothing line. “I’m so stiff.”

Although Kim and Maher’s friendship is relatively new, it’s already going strong.

“Ilona and I actually recently went for a run with a hot girl, and then we had lunch. That was my first meeting with her,” recalls Kim. “I just love her and I love everything she does, and I think she’s a real inspiration.”

Maher is not the only Olympian who has made it to Dancing with the stars finals. Gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik competes with his partner Rylee Arnold for the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. While Kim will lend her voice to Maher and her partner Alan Bersten, she’s excited to watch Nedoroscik, 26, also perform.

“I don’t know Stephen, but I’m sure I’d adore him as a human being,” says the Olympic boarder. “He’s an icon.”

While Kim is excited to be Maher’s cheerleader, she admits that the dance floor is not her scene.

“I was invited to continue [Dancing with the Stars] a few years ago and I refused,” reveals Kim. “Because, well, I can’t dance.”

Although dancing may not be her forte, singing certainly is. Instead of Dancing with the starsKim joined in Masked singer in 2020, reaching all the way to the semi-finals.

“It was so much fun,” the gold medalist tells PEOPLE of her time on the show. “I would one hundred percent do it again.”

Although she gave Kim the opportunity to dance, Maher encouraged her interest in the experience.

“I think I’ll see her soon, so I’ll think about it and see,” says the 24-year-old. “But from everything she’s told me, she seems to have the most amazing experience and that’s why she’s selling me. I’m in it.”
