Her father retired from the Indian Army. Her mother’s name is Nishi Sehgal and she works as the Vice President of SREI, Mumbai. She has a younger brother, Ayush Sehgal, who works as a team leader at Cognizant. Her parents separated and she lived with her mother in Mumbai. In an interview, when Sonnalli was asked about her greatest strength, she said:
my mom. She has been through a lot in her life and is a very strong woman. First, her father remarried, so there was no male companionship in her life. Growing up, my parents were always fighting. After moving to Mumbai, I couldn’t see what my mother was going through. I feel like a lot of Indian women are coming to terms with this. When they say India has such a low divorce rate, they don’t mean that India has happy marriages. Women simply can’t get out of this situation. I want my mom to move out and live with me. She is now with me in Mumbai, working and independent. “

Profession
Sonali wanted to be a model since her childhood. She won the Miss India Pantaloons Femina International 2006 title. She then represented India in the Miss International competition held in Japan and China and was selected among the top 12 contestants.
