Sophia Culpo Shares Inside Look at Sister Olivia's Wedding Day Prep: 'Chaos Has Ensued' (Exclusive)

Olivia Culpo’s Rhode Island wedding to NFL star Christian McCaffrey on June 29 was picture perfect.

But there was also no phone calls so that the guests could truly live in the moment.

Olivia’s younger sister Sophia Culpo, 27, snapped plenty of content in the days (and even hours) leading up to “I do” before she put away her phone — and took PEOPLE with her on the morning of the wedding while glamming it up.

“For glam, we wear a low, slicked-back bun,” she says in an exclusive video that shows her getting ready and starting her day as a bridesmaid. She also rocked “natural makeup” for the day, just like Olivia herself.

Olivia actually skipped mascara, lip liner and eyebrow makeup, she said Vogue, because she wanted to keep things classic. “I’ve never felt more beautiful than when I was in my formal dress and under the veil — I really wanted the simplicity of each component to be perfectly coordinated,” she told the outlet.

Sophia’s video followed the family around the Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI as they got ready – including footage of Olivia herself kicking several people out of the bathroom so she could use it.

“The bride has to pee,” Sophia says very seriously in the video, before Olivia jokingly approaches the camera. As she steps out of frame, Sophia shows off her hairstyling skills on her boyfriend, Michael Stevens, who sits patiently while she styles his hair ahead of the ceremony.

Sophia and older sister Aurora Culpo, who was also a bridesmaid on Olivia’s big day, both wore custom-made Dolce & Gabbana gowns for the ceremony. For the reception, they changed into contrasting dresses for the black tie event. For the welcome party, Sophia chose a buttery yellow dress with a low back, while Aurora chose a soft pink strapless dress. Olivia wore another Dolce & Gabbana piece – this Italian-influenced bishop-sleeve chiffon dress.

Olivia also wore a Dolce & Gabbana dress for the wedding. She said Vogue, “I didn’t want it to ooze sexiness in any way, shape or form. I wanted it to look effortless and as if it complemented me, not overpowering me. There is so much beauty and simplicity.”
