Southern Charm’s Taylor Ann Green Admits She ‘Initiated’ Kiss with Austen Kroll: ‘I Take Full Responsibility’

The Southern charm‘s returned to Charleston on Thursday’s episode and there was sure to be a lot of sweet tea to spill.

First, Shep Rose told Whitney Sudler-Smith and Patricia Altschul about what transpired between him, his ex Taylor Ann Green, and a sheet during a boys’ trip to his parents’ home in the mountains of North Carolina.

“We just kissed,” claims Shep, 43. “That’s all we did.”

But he wasn’t entirely forthcoming – in a later confessional interview, Shep said he thought Taylor, 28, wanted “a bit more” but they didn’t want to give up.

Taylor shared her theory about the kiss with Jarrett “JT” Thomas in the park.

“I think the kiss could have been more of an apology,” she said.

JT, 38, questioned that. “Kissing people to apologize?” he asked Taylor.

Taylor called herself a “returning bum” to her ex and said she “should have gone to a therapist” after her breakup with Shep. She also admitted that she started things with Austen Kroll.

“I caught him off guard though, that was the thing,” Taylor told JT of Austen, 36. “I initiated it. I take full responsibility for that.”

But feelings never developed. “There could have been a real connection, but there just wasn’t,” Taylor said in the confessional.

The representative of the Day Chaser brand admitted that she did it “to hurt Shep” more than she ever did to Olivia Flowers.

While Shep and Taylor were thinking about the past, Craig Conover was talking to his own Summer house star girlfriend Paige DeSorbo on their future.

“I’ve always wanted a wife and kids,” Craig (34) told Paige (31), adding that he fantasized about marrying her.

Paige had no sense of urgency to get married.

“Who you marry is the biggest decision of your fucking life,” she told Craig. “Also, we’ve only been together for a year and a half. You have to really think about it. Like, I still feel like we’re young.”

Patricia, 82, wanted to host the annual Gentleman’s Dinner, but fell short and was unable to host.

“I got out of bed at 5 in the morning and the next thing I knew I was lying on my back in excruciating pain on the floor,” said Patricia, explaining that she had suffered a compression fracture of her spine.

As a result, Whitney, 55, hosted a royal dinner attended by Austen, Craig, Shep and Rodrigo Reyes.

“Taylor’s dog Penny is in my house and her car is in my house,” Shep announced during the cocktail party. “We had lunch together today.”

Shep denied sleeping with her when asked and repeated that in North Carolina we “made out, but then I passed out.”

Craig told Whitney more about what happened on the trip, calling Shep’s outburst “theatrical.”

“You don’t have much of a moral leg to stand on,” said Shep Austen.

The Average Expectations: Lessons in Lowering the Bar The author said he thought Austen “supposedly pissed me off” by kissing Taylor, but believed, “I chose to be a gentleman and gracious about it.”

“I feel so fucking bad and I’ve been trying to make amends,” Austen said.

Craig felt that Shep had every right to be angry with Austen. “If someone messes with your fucking ex-girlfriend, you’re going to be mad about it,” the Sewing Down South founder said. “It’s true.”

When Craig and Shep talked privately, Shep told him that he felt it “hurts too much to even bring up the subject” of Taylor and Austen’s kiss.

Shep left, as did Rodrigo, and Craig, Austen, and Whitney decided to smoke cigars in their matching smoking jackets. As Austen stepped away to urinate on the side of the balcony, Craig asked Whitney if she thought Austen and Taylor did more than kiss.

“I bet f—” Whitney said.

Austen overheard it and refuted it. “We didn’t sleep together, and that’s it,” said the TropHop beer founder.

Whitney asked how the kiss came about, and Austen said it happened while he and Taylor were “playing.” Then, with Whitney’s help, Austen recreated the dance scene in her kitchen with Taylor.

“What did you think at that moment?” Whitney asked.

Austen admitted, “I didn’t feel bad about it.”
