Starbucks takes care of its customers and waits for the holidays!
On October 30, the coffee shop chain announced that it would no longer charge extra to customize drinks with non-dairy milk. The money-saving move takes effect on November 7, which is the same day their holiday drink and food menu will hit stores nationwide.
Customizing drinks with soy, oat, almond or coconut milk is the second most requested personalization that people do (after adding a shot of espresso), according to a press release. Customers should see a price reduction of more than 10% if they have previously used non-dairy milk.
“The essence of the Starbucks experience is the ability to customize your drink to make it your own. By eliminating additional fees for non-dairy milks, we embrace all the ways our customers enjoy Starbucks,” said Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol.
If discounts on non-dairy products weren’t enough to lift your spirits, then Starbucks’ arrival on the holiday menu should do the trick! Festive drinks and food will be available nationwide on Thursday, November 7. Details on specific drinks (and their famous red cups) are not yet available.
The company has revealed holiday merchandise and grocery store items that are already coming to retail.

The coffee shop recently announced it would be discontinuing Oleato olive oil drinks as part of Niccol’s big push to “bring back the ‘Back to Starbucks,'” he said in a video message shared on Oct. 22.
“We’re going to simplify our overly complex menu, fix our pricing architecture and make sure every customer feels like Starbucks is worth it every time they visit,” he said.
