For one night only, Kevin will return to work on the BBC show – looking back at the famous dancers and giving viewers a taste of the technique.

After the choreography corner with Joanne on Tuesday, host Fleur East said: “Well, Joanne, you’re going next week aren’t you…”

She then told fans to expect a “spooky treat” next Tuesday night.

“Yes guys and ghosts next week is Halloween” Fleur said.

“It’s a scary time for our Strictly couples, made even scarier by the resurrection of Kevin Clifton for Choreography Corner.”

She then revealed how viewers can get involved in his return – by choosing his Halloween costume.

Fleur said, “Ahead of his appearance on Halloween we want you to decide what hideous costume he will be wearing.”

Fans can vote on whether Kevin will dress up as Nurse Joker, an undead living Chucky doll, or a daughter of the Addams Family.

Kevin won series 16 with the expectant mother of his child, Stacey Dooley.

In January, they had a daughter, Minnie.

Kevin devastated fans by leaving the show after competing with Anneka Rice and then Alex Scott when her dance partner Neil Jones was injured.

Kevin will fill in on It Takes Two for his sister Joanne, 39, who is touring the country in Shrek The Musical.
