The penultimate episode of Success aired on Sunday nights (and Mondays in the UK), leaving fans wondering how the Roy family’s saga would end in the eagerly awaited finale of the season. . But what if there were more stories?
Speaking to Vanity Fair, Kieran Culkin, who plays Roman Roy, revealed that series creator Jesse Armstrong has talked to him about a potential plot for a fifth season. He explained, “Jesse described the entire season to me prior to filming.

“I asked him a question and when he answered, I said, ‘Wow, that kind of sounds like the end of the show.’ He said, ‘Yes, there is.’ But then he just came up with three different ideas for season five that he claimed he had in mind. I said, “I’m just speaking my mind here. But they all sound great.”
Discussing the ending, he continued, “It feels like the end, but it also feels like there could be more. So I understand his struggle. He struggled with it all season long while we were filming. He said, ‘Really? This is the end. But I’m not sure.’ He didn’t tell us [it was the last episode] until we read the chart of the final episode.”

The synopsis for the final episode of Succession in History reads: “Prior to the final board vote on the Waystar-GoJo contract, Kendall and Shiv attempt to advocate for their conflicting interests. … and learn the whereabouts of the physically and mentally wounded Romans. ” UNMARKETABLE!

In the penultimate episode, Roman has a very public melee at his father’s funeral, prompting him to provoke a crowd of protests, while Shiv and Kendall later become the CEOs of Waystar & Royco in two very different ways. While Shiv teams up with Matsson against his siblings, Kendall tries to convince the president-elect to stop the GoJo deal from going through.

Discussing the episode, one person wrote: “You know, a show that is sure to become a classic when every episode you tell yourself, the cast has new clips to show off at the Emmys. My God, Kieran Culkin is killing it this season of Succession,” while another added: “The way Shiv, Conner and Kendall Roy stood up right after Roman Roy asked them to do the same. God, this scene makes me sob. Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook, Jeremy Strong and Alan Ruck deserve all the awards.”
