When Suhas first came up with the idea of trying his luck in the film industry, Teja Kakumanu supported him. It wasn’t easy when he reached Hyderabad. Suhas gave several auditions and shot a few commercials, but he didn’t get any leads. He then started creating his own videos, which went viral, after which he got an opportunity to work as an actor on Sandeep Raj’s Chai Bisket’s YouTube channel. He has collaborated with Chai Bisket on more than 50 videos and has gained popularity due to his easy-going and endearing on-screen persona.

He made his acting debut in 2016 with the film Maheshinte Prathikaaram, starring Aparna Balamurali, Fahadh Faasil and Arunthir Rai Lopez (Alencier Ley Lopez) Starring. Suhas played the role of Jyoti in the Telugu film Majili (2019), after which people started calling him “Majili Suhas”.

In 2020, he starred in the Indian Telugu period romantic drama film “Color Photo”. He was well received for his role as Jayakrishna (also known as Kittu, Kannaya) in the film and received positive reviews from critics. The film won the National Award for Best Telugu Film at the 68th National Film Awards.

- In an interview, he talked about his love for acting and said that he developed his interest in movies by participating in youth events and performing sketches.
Acting and performing is something I have always been interested in since I was a child. It started in my hometown theater. I attended youth festivals and performed skits at college events. This really helped develop my early interest in film. After completing my studies, I came to Hyderabad to pursue an acting career. I’m tired of looking for opportunities in this industry. Then I got an idea and started making my own short films that would resonate with the audience. Eventually, it began producing feature films. I’ve always loved being able to entertain and play different characters in front of an audience. All I can say is, if it’s something you really want, you have to go out and make it happen. “
- When he first moved to Hyderabad, his friends helped him financially. He mentioned his friend and said:

When Sandeep (writer-director Sandeep Raj) asked me to play the lead role, I was scared… vanukochesindi (I was shaking). In an instant, I remembered my difficult days as an actor. Before that, I had done quite well in a number of films in supporting roles, comedy roles as the hero’s friend. I recently got married and I’m not sure if it’s worth the risk. My friends advised me not to do this. “
- Suhas considers actor Teja Kakumanu as his mentor. Suhas questions whether he would have made it as an actor without the support of his drama team and Teja.
