The cast of the legal drama, which made a resurgence in popularity when it arrived on Netflix, gathered to help kick off the awards season
Has anyone called a lawyer?
Suits actors Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres reunited at the 2024 Golden Globes on Sunday night when they introduced the cast Succession with the award for the best drama series.
The US series, which also starred Meghan Markle and Rick Hoffman, saw an unexpected surge in popularity over the summer when it was added to Netflix in June. It garnered 3 billion minutes of viewing in its first week on the platform and broke streaming records as the most viewed purchased streaming title.

Markle, who left the show after Season 7 following her engagement to Prince Harry, shared her delight at the show’s renaissance in November. Upon request from Diversity what she thinks is behind the “renewed love” for the show, the Duchess of Sussex said: “I have no idea. It was great to work with, such a great cast and crew. We had a lot of fun. I was on it for seven seasons, so quite a bit.”
“But it’s hard to find a show where you can watch that many episodes these days, so that might have something to do with it,” she added. “But good shows are forever.”
Suits, which aired on USA Network for nine seasons from 2011 to 2019, follows genius and dropout Mike Ross (Adams), who ends up working as a lawyer at a high-profile firm alongside some of New York City’s finest, including Harvey Specter (Macht), Jessica Pearson (Torres) and Louis Litt (Hoffman). Rafferty plays Harvey’s no-nonsense assistant Donna Paulson (who eventually becomes the company’s CEO), while Markle’s Rachel Zane begins the series as a paralegal and also becomes a lawyer extraordinaire.

Sarah Rafferty shares Suits Cast group chat reaction to series revival: ‘Wait, what?!’ (Exclusive)
“I’m blown away,” Rafferty told PEOPLE last month about the outpouring of love for the series. “You can’t really metabolize it in a real-world way.”
“I’m incredibly grateful, because our world right now feels like it’s getting darker and more fractured, and if escaping through TV for a few moments helps — it feels good,” Rafferty said, watching her and her cast’s work being appreciated anew. “It’s just simple, knowing that this thing that we’ve been working on for 10 years is giving people an escape, or it’s providing a connection, a meaning, in any way, shape or form. Even if it’s just a break from the news of the world, I’ll take it.”
‘Suits’ cast: Where are they now?
This won’t be the last time fans will see Suits cast reunion: Adams and Rafferty, along with Dulé Hill and series creator Aaron Korsh, will participate in a reunion panel during the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas, May 30-June 2.
