In the inaugural season of Pro Kabaddi League in 2014, Sukesh Hegde was selected by Telugu Titans. He went on to play for the Telugu Titans for the next four seasons. In the second season, he scored 62 raid points and 2 tackle points in 13 games, achieving 5 super raids. - He mentioned in an interview that the limited popularity of kabaddi in southern India is due to the lack of academies and training centers in rural areas.
