Sukhjit Singh Gill was born on Wednesday, April 5, 1989, in Ipoh, Malaysia (34 years old; as of 2023). He was educated at St. Michael’s College, Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. He completed his pre-university course “Cambridge A Level” at Taylor’s University. He studied LLB (Honours) at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Sukhjit Singh Gill started his singing career when he was a teenager. In 2005, he formed the musical duo ‘Goldkartz’ with his brother Manjit Singh Gill. The duo brought a new form of Bhangra music by fusing traditional Punjabi music with Malaysian rhythms. Their songs mainly emphasize themes of romance and joy. In 2008, the brothers released their first music album “Loaded” (2008) under the multinational record label EMI. The album was released in Malaysia to moderate success, selling over 5,000 CDs in the country.
In 2011, the duo made their international debut with their second album “24 Karaatz”, which was released in many countries including Malaysia, the United Kingdom and India. The album is distributed by multinational record label Warner Music.
In the same year, the brother and sister duo sang the song “Mauja” for the Bollywood film “Chala Mussaddi Office” starring Pankaj Kapur. Their song “Desi Patola” (2015) was released on several Punjabi and English music channels including PTC, Tashaan, BritAsia, Jus Punjabi and Zee TV.
