Profession
While in college, he began working as a dance instructor. He worked as a dance instructor for seven years, specializing in Bollywood and Salsa. In 2001, he started his acting career as a theater artist. In 2002, he made his debut in a devotional film about Mahavira, directed by Pradeep Dhiman of Phagwala, in which he played the role of the deity. However, in 2006, he suffered an accident and injured his knee, forcing him to quit his dance career. In 2009-10 he moved to London for a while. After returning from London, he became a full-time actor in 2013-14. At PTC Punjabi, he appeared in the TV shows Raavi Paar and Zameer. He also worked in Doordarshan TV channel where he performed comedy skits. Until 2015, he collaborated with Pragati Productions Jalandhar and played one of the protagonist Paul in the TV series “Mr Paul & Paali”.
He served as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Iconic Media, a media and entertainment company in Punjab. In 2015, he hosted the TV show Zayka Punjab da, a food review show where the host traveled to different parts of Punjab to taste and review local restaurants in the region.
That same year, he also produced and starred in the short film “Step Back in Time in the 50-Hour Filmmaking Challenge.” In 2017, he starred in the Punjabi psychological thriller “Kavira”. His other Punjabi films include Nankana (2018), Sorry 22 Soon (2019) and Jalwayu Enclave – A Lockdown Lovestory (2022).
In 2016, he played a police inspector in an episode of Life OK TV show Savdhaan India. In 2018, she starred in the Telugu reincarnation romantic action film “Mehbooba”.
He made his Bollywood debut in the 2018 film Manmarziyaan, in which he played the father of Vicky Sandhu (played by Vicky Kaushal). He played the lead role in Mangi Mahal’s 2019 Punjabi song Bapu. He has appeared in music videos of several singers including Gurnam Bhullar, Kaur B and Malkit Singh.
