Suki Waterhouse Jokes Her 'Nervous System Will Never Be the Same' After Opening for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour

Suki Waterhouse is feeling a bit overwhelmed after opening for Taylor Swift.

Along with Paramore, the “Good Looking” singer, 32, opened one of the pop superstar’s Eras Tour stops in her hometown of London on Saturday, August 17. A day later, he still can’t believe it.

On Sunday, August 18, Waterhouse shared a sentimental Instagram post that included a snap of her and Swift, 34, embracing backstage at Wembley Stadium, as well as some adorable snaps from the night.

In one of the clips, Waterhouse danced to Swift’s “Karma” in the stadium’s stands, swaying her hair from side to side, while another video showed the host thanking — and praising — Waterhouse for her opening set.

“She’s someone I can call a friend,” Swift told the crowd in the video. “I’ve been a fan of her music for so long. She absolutely destroyed it here tonight, and this was her hometown show.”

“Give it up for Suki Waterhouse!” she added as the crowd cheered loudly.

In the headline, Waterhouse revealed that “the last time I was at Wembley I was bum-dancing on the Reputation tour!”

“I never thought that the next time I’m here I’ll be opening for my favorite artist with my friends and family in the audience 🥹,” she continued. “Thank you @taylorswift for this once in a lifetime opportunity to perform in my beloved London and for your unwavering support on my artistic journey.”

“You are the world’s biggest and brightest star,” she added of Swift. – I love you very much.

Then, Daisy Jones and six star said she was forever changed, joking: “My nervous system will never be the same after last night.”

Referring to the final image in the photo copy — a throwback shot of her rocking Swift in 1989 merch — she concluded, “Somebody tell this girl on the last slide that she just opened for ERAS BABY!!! ❤️.”

Waterhouse also celebrated her one night as the Eras Tour opener when she first shared the news earlier this month.

In an Aug. 5 post on X (formerly Twitter), the singer wrote, “It’s an honor to simply exist at the same time as @taylorswift, let alone be her opening act on the biggest and best tour ever 😭😭 .”

“A dream come true that I never want to wake up from,” added Waterhouse. “Playing at Wembley Stadium in my hometown!! See you on August 17th at THE ERAS TOUR.”

In an interview with Rolling Stone released ahead of the Aug. 17 performance, Waterhouse discussed her reaction to learning she would be performing for one of her longtime musical idols.

“I dreamed, dreamed, dreamed that this would happen,” she told the newspaper. “I manifested myself very strongly. So when [I found out]I said, ‘Yes, dreams can come true.’ ”
