Sumeet Kumar Ganguly is an Indian singer and the younger son of legendary playback singer and actor Kishore Kumar. He has sung several Hindi songs. Most of the time, he performs on stage with his brother Amit Kumar, who is also a famous singer. He founded Kishore Brothers Music in 2020.

Sumit Kumar Ganguly was born on Thursday, April 15, 1982, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India (age 41; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Aries. He completed his education in Bombay. Sunidhi Chauhan was his classmate and best friend. He graduated in commerce from Mithibhai Art College, Mumbai. During college, he also studied Western classical music and Western dance.

I lost my father when I was five years old. My memories of him are of a fun-loving dad who pampered me with toys and videos. I was a fat kid and he used to call me ‘Chiballa Bachcha'”

He is thirty years older than me and is more of a father figure. I consider him my idol. Not just his singing, but all of his mannerisms constantly reminded me of my father – to the point where he sounded and acted like him. I can tell him everything. He is a Cancer and very emotional. Even if he wasn’t happy with something I did; he would tell me in a roundabout way. He’s my go-to guy. My mother might say no to me on some things, but Bhaiya always indulged me. “

Profession
In 2002, at the age of 20, he was discovered by producer Raju Mawani while performing his father’s songs on stage, and he was invited to sing songs for his film Mudda – The Issue. Sumit made his debut as a playback singer with this film movie; he sang two songs for the movie, “Dewangee” and “Kaise Mai Kahoon”. After that, in 2004, he received another invitation from director Ram Gopal Verma to sing songs for the film “Naach” (2004) starring Abhishek Bachchan; He sang the song “Bandhane Lagi” along with Shweta Pandit.

In 2011, he performed a tribute concert “Do Kishore” with his brother Amit Kumar at different places. The concert included an audiovisual program about their father, his music and the brothers’ songs. In 2020, Sumit launched a new project – Kumar Brothers Music. It was launched to create an online music store selling their songs, their father’s unreleased songs and more.
