Sushant Sarin

Sushant Sareen is an Indian journalist, editor, analyst and author on Pakistan affairs. He is a senior fellow at the Observer Research Center. He has authored many books and monographs, including “Balochistan: Forgotten War, Forgotten People” (monograph, 2017), “Corridor Calculus: China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and the Purchase of Chinese Investment in Pakistan” ​​​Models of Operations” (Monograph, 2016), “Zarb-e-Azab: An Assessment of the Pakistan Army’s Anti-Taliban Operations in North Waziristan (Monograph, 2015)” and “Jihad Factory – Pakistan in the Making” The Islamic Revolution” (2005).

In 1993, Sushant Sareen joined Indian Railways Transport Services. In 1994, he resigned from his post and joined the Public Opinion News Agency to closely observe India-Pakistan relations and the political situation in South Asia. From 2002 to 2004, he served as Honorary Director of the Pakistan Center of the Observer Research Foundation. From 2010 to 2017, Sushant Sareen served as a Senior Fellow at the Vivekananda International Foundation, New Delhi. He is a consultant to the Pakistan Project at the Institute for Defense Studies and Analysis (IDSA), New Delhi. He served as deputy editor at the South Asian news portal South Asia Media, which is run by the South Asia Free Media Association. He is also one of the founders of the South Asia Free Media Association (SAFMA). Later, he became the Secretary General of the South Asia Free Media Association.
