SZA Kills the Fashion Game at the 2024 Grammys
Although the 34-year-old singer did not walk the carpet, she delivered two different style moments on stage.
During the awards show, the musician performed her Grammy-nominated hits “Snooze” and “Kill Bill” from the twice-nominated album SOS.
After an introduction about the meaning behind her first album, the Top Dawg Entertainment singer took the stage in a leather trench coat, black tank top, cargo pants and a wide-brimmed hat as she sang to the crowd at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
For the performance, SZA was surrounded by flames, trash cans and stage lights as she opened with “Snooze,” before shedding her jacket and hat and launching into “Kill Bill.”
After a literally fiery performance, she went backstage and quickly slipped into a see-through gown with a high neckline and bejeweled detailing, almost making her late to collect the award for Best R&B Song. As host Lizzo announced “Snooze” as the winner, the crowd was left waiting before SZA rushed the stage to claim her trophy. “Sorry I ran out of breath because I was changing, so I shot up and ran over here,” she said as she ran to the stage.
She also took to Instagram to share another look – a dramatic black velvet dress with a structured embellished neckline and long train – which she styled with sheer gloves. “Thank you @recordingacademy for having me and allowing me the crazy honor of being apart of tonight’s show 🥹,” she captioned the picture.

A year later, after promoting the release on her first arena tour, the “Snooze” hitmaker celebrated the album’s anniversary on Instagram, calling it an opus that “ACTIVELY CHANGED MY LIFE.”
