Taco Bell Celebrates a New Chicken Menu with Free Crispy Tacos for 2 Weeks

Taco Bell warms up its offer with a new Cantina Chicken menu.

On Thursday, the fast food chain unveiled five new chicken menus that will be available at locations beginning March 21. All new dishes feature slow-roasted chicken with Mexican spices and come with the company’s new avocado verde salsa, which is made with tomatoes, green chili peppers and avocado.

Starting with the Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco, the new dish is made with chicken, creamy jalapeño sauce and a three-cheese blend. The outside of the tortilla is covered with a layer of baked cheese and paired with avocado salsa.

Rewards members can try a crispy taco for free from March 21st to April 4th. No purchase necessary, but you must be a Rewards member as of February 9th to receive the coupon.

Another exciting addition to the menu is the Cantina Chicken Quesadilla. Made with a flour tortilla, chicken, a layer of a three-cheese blend and a creamy chipotle sauce, the quesadilla is “crispy to perfection with the cheese grilled on the outside,” according to the release. It is served with guacamole, sour cream and the same new salsa.

For those who prefer a pillowy texture, Taco Bell is also rolling out the Cantina Chicken Soft Taco. Filled with chicken, avocado ranch dressing, cheddar cheese and pico de gallo, the taco also includes some crunchy insides with shredded purple cabbage and iceberg lettuce.

For a heartier option, the Cantina Chicken Burrito features a double portion of chicken and is topped with creamy chipotle sauce, avocado ranch dressing, cheddar cheese and pico de gallo.

To round out the fun new menu items, the Cantina Chicken Bowl consists of seasoned rice, cheddar cheese, chicken, black beans, lettuce and shredded purple cabbage. And there’s plenty of sauce: the bowl includes avocado ranch sauce, sour cream, pico de gallo, guacamole and avocado verde salsa.

If you are a member of the rewards program, you can taste it for the first time. Instead of waiting until March 21st when items go up, you can order a crispy taco and quesadilla starting March 14th. And if you prefer a soft taco, burrito, or bowl, those three will become available early to sweepstakes members starting March 18.

Taco Bell also hinted at more new innovations in chicken, including the addition of crispy chicken nuggets that will hit menus nationwide later this year, according to the release.
