Tammy Slaton is having a hard time being separated from her husband.
In an exclusive PEOPLE clip from Tuesday’s episode 1000 lbs. SistersThe 37-year-old is on a family vacation in Pensacola, Florida, with siblings Amy, Chris, Amanda and Misty.
Although she is excited about the trip, Slaton misses her husband, Caleb Willingham, who still lives in Ohio at the rehab facility where they first met. (Note: This episode was recorded before Caleb Willingham died in June 2023)
In the video, Slaton calls Willingham on FaceTime and shows him where she’s staying and her large apartment, while saying she wishes they were together.
“I was originally supposed to be on this family trip,” Willingham said. “I needed to lose weight and it pains me even more to think that this could have been like a honeymoon…that was the plan. And here I am, still in rehab.”

Slaton and Willingham met at the Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Gibsonburg, Ohio, in 2022. He proposed in October, and in November, PEOPLE exclusively revealed that the couple tied the knot.
However, after 14 months in rehab and losing enough weight for bariatric surgery, Slaton was able to leave the facility and go home while Willingham stayed and continued obesity treatment.
“I miss my husband so much and I feel guilty that he can’t be with us,” Slaton says in the confessional.
“This is bullshit,” she tells her husband over the phone. “You can’t enjoy something like this right now.”

Willingham has a positive attitude and says that even though he missed his vacation in Pensacola, the rehab facility has a summer festival and he will be going to the carnival.
“Of course it won’t be that big. But for me it’s a step forward in life, like life and entertainment.
“Don’t worry, I’m not going to spend $300 on carnival food,” he joked before making Slaton laugh about the ostrich and alligator he hopes to eat at the carnival.
