He started playing cricket for Ingleburn Vlub. His second team was Liverpool Catholic Club U-10s and later U-11s. When he played for the U-12 team, he won the Player of the Year award. He later played for a number of clubs, including Mr. Druitt Club, Campbelltown Camden District Cricket Club and The Ghosts.

He had batted in the opening order and was a fast bowler early in his career. However, he later became a leg trainer. At the age of eighteen he was drafted into the New South Wales Blues team. He made his debut for New South Wales (NSW) in the Sheffield Shield Championship match against Victoria on 27 October 2021; he scored 1 run in the first innings, was dismissed for a duck in the second innings, and was out for a duck in the first innings. He took 3 wickets for 44 runs and did not take any wickets in the second innings. He made his debut (single day) for NSW A in the Marsh Cup against Victora on 24 November 2021 and took 4 wickets in total. 21 points.

In 2016, he played for the Australian U-16 team, where he met Fawad Ahmed, a Pakistani-Australian spinner who became his mentor. In 2020, he represented the Australian U-19 team in the U-19 World Cup held in South Africa and took 15 wickets in the game.

He made his Big Bash League debut for Sydney Thunder against Melbourne Stars on 12 December 2020 and took 2 wickets and scored 26 runs. He ended the 2020-21 BBL season as the third-highest wicket-taker with 21 wickets at an average of 16.66. In one of the matches, West Indies power batsman Andre Russell praised Sanha as a spinner with a big heart who is not afraid to bowl to the batsmen.
