Tanya Miller is the representative of District 62 in the Georgia House of Representatives. She has been in office since January 9, 2023, and her current mandate expires on January 13, 2025.

The Georgia RICO statute is “a very strong and broad statute.” It’s like a freight train passing through the courtroom to the prosecutor’s office. Here are a few reasons why it’s one of the hardest cases to argue: Miller replied. You don’t have to be a business in the traditional sense. You do not have to operate as a corporation. You don’t have to be a corporation.
In Georgia, starting a business does not require much planning; it can happen quickly. “This indictment has been going on for months, basically, and that’s what makes it so powerful,” Miller said. Miller argued that they need not be a distinct type of crime. In this case, the crimes include “forgery and fraud,” “attempting to influence an election” and “inducing a public official to abdicate his duty.”
All of these small-scale crimes, Miller continued, “can be RICO with a very long prison sentence in Georgia when you put them together and do them for the purpose of achieving a common enterprise purpose.”
