Tarek El Moussa reflects on all the beautiful ways his life has changed since meeting wife Heather El Moussa.
In a touching Instagram post to mark the couple’s second wedding anniversary on Monday, Tarek, 42, shared that he was “sad and lonely” before Selling Sunset The 36-year-old star entered his life.
“Sometimes I pinch myself because I can’t believe this is my life. I have 3 great kids and an amazing wife,” the HGTV personality wrote after wishing Heather a happy anniversary.
“Before Heather, I really lived a different life and I know many of you can relate,” he continued. “I was honestly just sad and lonely without her. She brought me back to life. She taught me to love myself and others again. She made me believe that I deserved more. She gave me hope.”

Tarek continued to express his excitement for the future with Heather by his side.
“It’s been the most amazing two years for the whole family and I’m so excited for dozens more! I just love you bunny more than the universe and it’s me and you forever!” he concluded, using his affectionate nickname for his wife.
His anniversary post included a series of photos of the couple, including two keepsakes from their October 2021 wedding and a fun candid shot of the pair holding hands in a hotel room.

Heather posted her own loving message to her husband for their anniversary. Along with a collection of photos from their wedding, she wrote: “Happy wedding anniversary my sweet love. I can’t believe it’s been 2 years of marriage and 5 years together.”
She went on to describe all the ways Tarek was a wonderful husband and partner. You stayed true to the vows you made to me two years ago: you loved me for all that I am, you protected my heart and put our family first — always — and you showed me that I chose the right man,” she wrote.

“You are an amazing dad to our child Tristan and Tay & Bray and nothing makes me happier than the family and life we’ve built together,” she continued, referring to the couple’s eight-month-old son, Tristan, and Tarek’s two children with ex-wife Christina Hall — Taylor , 13, and Brayden, 8.

Tarek has previously spoken about how lonely he felt after splitting from Hall, 40, in 2016 after seven years of marriage.
In an Instagram post in December 2022, he admitted that the holiday season was especially difficult for him when he was newly divorced.
“Had a lonely holiday there for a while,” he captioned the post. “I’m never coming back!”
Back in 2019, he told PEOPLE that the divorce — along with two different cancer diagnoses — left him “completely broken.”
“Physically, spiritually, mentally, I was so broken,” he said. “I just never thought I would open up to someone again. I never thought I would be vulnerable again.”
That’s when he met Heather, who he said “just set him on fire inside.”
“I had a feeling I hadn’t felt in 20 years,” he recalled. “I was married for a long time, I was with my ex for a long time. I didn’t feel that way about other women. So it was really, really new and exciting.”

Tarek later reflected on how lucky he felt to have Heather in his life, admitting that he didn’t think he’d find love again after ending his first marriage.
“If you had asked me a few years ago if I thought I would meet another woman who would be a part of my life and the lives of my children, I would have said no, but who said I would find my best friend, my confidant, my soulmate 😍”, he wrote is in the headline of the June 2022 Instagram Reel.
“I believe that everyone has a soulmate with whom they can spend the rest of their lives together. I am happy to have found mine, the woman of my dreams,” he added.
