Taylor Swift Announces New Version of The Tortured Poets Society, Duets with Sabrina Carpenter in Sydney

Taylor Swift announced a new version Department for tortured poets at her show Friday night in Sydney, Australia and brought a surprise guest on stage!

Addressing fans as she sat at the piano during the show, the superstar began by saying, po video split on X (formerly known as Twitter): “It’s good to have options, everyone likes options, you know. I wanted to show you something if you turn your attention to the main screen.”

“This is an alternative mask for Ward Poet Ward,” she continued as the audience cheered at the sight of the new release of the upcoming album on the main screen behind her.

“And so this release is called ‘The Albatross’ because there’s an exclusive bonus track on this vinyl called ‘The Albatross’, and I can’t wait for you to hear it.”

Along with the exciting announcement, Swift has another treat in store for her Sydney audience.

“I also have another fun thing if you want another fun thing,” Swift continued, adding, “Do you want another fun thing?”

Swift then explained that she was trying to “figure this whole weather thing out” earlier that night — her performance was delayed due to rain and nearby lightning — explaining that they only had “this window where the weather is going to be not crazy and dangerous.”

“My incredibly talented, wonderful, beautiful, hilarious, brilliant opening act, Sabrina Carpenter, has heroically sacrificed her show, which I think is a crime against Sydney. And I think that needs to be fixed, so I’m going to perform it now, is that okay, Sydney?”

Kelce, 34, wasn’t the only celebrity guest in attendance, as singers Katy Perry and Rita Ora were also spotted in the crowd at the show on Friday night.

After cheering on boyfriend Travis Kelce at the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, Swift, 34, flew to Australia a few days later to perform a series of sold-out shows in Melbourne.

With a few days off between meetings in Melbourne and Sydney, Swift spent some quality time enjoying the sights Down Under.
