Taylor Swift Made Homemade Pop Tarts for the Chiefs, Says Coach Andy Reid

Taylor Swift scores again with her cakes.

During an interview with Mike Florio and Chris Simms at the NFL Scouting Combine, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said the pop singer prepared the offensive linemen with homemade pastries.

“Kind of behind the scenes, she, to fit in — she didn’t even know she was doing it, I don’t think — likes to cook, so she made the offensive linemen these homemade pop cakes,” Reid said. “So it was over. She knew exactly where to go.”

Simms chimed in and agreed that the forwards were key to fitting in with the rest of the team. “It’s coming up [Patrick] Mahomes’ heart,” he said of the team’s quarterback.

“She didn’t give it to me, and the hitters definitely didn’t give it to me either,” Reid joked about the pop cookies.

Reid said Swift’s gesture was just another example of her “down-to-earthness.”

“I knew her dad and her mom—good, solid people. I met her when she was young. And she’s so grounded in who she is. I mentioned somewhere that since the Queen died, she might be the most famous woman in the world.” , Reid said. “But she’s handling it.”

While reflecting on his team’s season, Reid said that Swift coming to their games in support of her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, “has never been an issue — honestly.”

“Travis handled it very well,” he added. “She handled it great. And it was never a problem.”

Swift’s love of baking is well known. In December, former NFL player Bernie Kosar shared on Audacy’s AM 560 Sports WQAM that she treated Kelce to homemade cinnamon rolls before one of his games.

“We have a pregame meal and Taylor is so nice to come by herself and she’s so cool, she brings, she made her homemade cinnamon rolls for Travis for the pregame meal,” Kosar said.

Swift attended 13 of Kelce’s games during the NFL season. A source previously told PEOPLE that the Super Bowl was “the most exciting experience” for the singer.

“She loved going to all the games, but of course this was on another level. They partied and celebrated all night long. It’s been the best few months for them,” the source said.
