Her stunned colleagues also noticed that the 38-year-old smelled of a drink.
The first year teacher, who was only a month with school, arrived in the assembly with her students.
Eyebrows were initially raised when she was sitting from the group, instead of leading them to their assigned area.
Then she couldn’t get up and present a Star student from the week with their Big Cheese Award-asking another teacher.
The investigation was launched by the Teaching Agency, after an incident in October 2023, which revealed that Atkin was drunk on the school estate.
This only came a few months after Attitude was banned in driving, because it was caught twice over the legal limit, in July 2023.
Police noticed that he was driving on the wrong side of the road and failed to slow down as he moved in turns.
One colleague told teaching disciplinary hearing: “When [Ms Atkin] I stood to take the kids [to the assembly] She seemed to have problems with her legs around her legs and was unstable.
“She moved slowly and gently.”
Atkin admitted that in the early hours of the morning he went to school a bottle of white wine and an extra glass.
Associates reported that at the meeting after the torment of the meeting after the torment of the Assembly, after increasing “strong” and “sharp” scent “characteristic of drinking.”
They claimed that the aroma hung in the air after she escorted to being driven home.
Atkin left his job before the investigation was concluded.
But the professional behavior panel agreed that her ability to teach was significantly damaged by alcohol.
Atkin from Frodsham in Cheshire was found guilty of unacceptable professional behavior and behavior that could bring the profession to the immediate.
She was banned in classrooms in England and Wales.
Panel Melissa West said: “Mrs. Atkin taught on October 20, 2023; she went to work, to her evidence, to drink a bottle and a glass of wine during the early morning hours.
“She was seen stunned at school, her eyes were glazed and drunk appeared.
“Mrs. Atkin was not prepared to start a school day and could not lead her class in the Assembly to sit. She thought the witness was unable to work at work and be accompanied by home.”
Mrs. West added: “Panel was convinced that Mrs. Atkin’s behavior was significantly behind the standards of behavior expected from teachers in what she presented at work after consuming alcohol and smelled alcohol, and for protective reasons she was not in charge of her class for the day.”
Atkin failed to show up at hearing, but earlier he submitted a statement in which she said, “I am absolutely devastated by what happened and that is all I can think about.
“At that moment, I was going through such a difficult time. I have been in a much better place since then.”
A colleague described Atkin as a “passionate teacher” who “has the ingredients to be a good teacher.”
Signing on the prohibition of Minister of Education Bridget Phillipson, Civil Servant Marc Cavey said: “According to my judgment, a lack of evidence that Mrs. Atkin has developed full insight into her actions means that there is a risk of repeating such behavior and this threatens the future of students.
Atkin cannot apply to the profession for two years and has 28 days to complain about the verdict.
