In the carousel post, she first shared a comparison photo of the scar’s progress over the past three months. Followers can see how the dark red scar on her back has faded over the past few months following the surgery in December.

In another photo, the 42-year-old shared a close-up image of an “abnormal spot” her doctor had noticed. The spot is on her bicep, not her back where most of her melanoma spots are found.

In her caption, the TV personality shared an update on her recovery process, noting that she recently had her quarterly skin checkup.

“What a difference 3 months can make! My scar is healing nicely and I have the best doctors to thank,” she began in the description.

“But completely transparently, also during my three-month check-up, there was one abnormal spot that the doctor thought we should do a biopsy,” she revealed. “It’s on the other side of my body, so praying is nothing.”

“But I feel it’s the right time to remind you to go for a skin checkup ❤️”, she concluded.

In September, Mellencamp Arroyave announced that she had been diagnosed with melanoma for the 13th time. The mother of three was first diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma in October 2022.

Before that video, Mellencamp Arroyave shared on Instagram that her “word for 2024.” “force”.

The TV personality revealed to followers that she chooses a word to focus on every year and revealed that she “kept joking” that this year’s word would be “getting by”. But after February began, she decided to refocus her year on the word “strength.”

“I convinced myself that this state of constant terrible anxiety was the new me and I just had to learn to ‘deal with it,'” she wrote in her Instagram caption.
