Teresa Giudice Addresses Backlash Sparked by New Shein Campaign Co-Starring Her Daughters

Teresa Giudice doubles down on her family’s collaboration with Sheina.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey The 51-year-old star issued a public response after she and her daughters Gia, 22, Milania, 17, and Audriana, 14, were criticized for partnering with fast fashion brand Shein for a new collection launched earlier this week.

A representative for Giudice said she did her “due diligence” to make sure Shein — which has drawn backlash in the past for allegedly stealing designs from independent designers and for alleged poor working conditions — was a company they wanted to do business with.

“We appreciate the concerns expressed about our partnership and have met with the SHEIN team prior to working together,” Giudice’s rep told TMZ. “We 100% believe in ethical practices in all capacities and during our due diligence we have not seen any significant evidence that definitively shows unethical practices.”

A spokesperson for Shein exclusively told PEOPLE that the brand is “excited” to be working with the Giudice family. But the company is aware of “consumer concerns” and is “deeply committed to being as open and transparent as possible.”

“SHEIN is committed to doing business in a responsible and ethical manner and takes any allegations of unethical business practices seriously. We hope our fans enjoy this collaboration and the diversity in design and size intended to provide value this holiday season,” they added. . .

The 100-piece collection is sold in sizes up to 5X, which Giudice said is an important selling point for them.

“This plus-size collection was created to amplify the voices and creativity of young women and encourage entrepreneurship at any age,” Giudice’s rep added. “The responses so far have been extremely positive and encouraging.”
