The Bachelor: Joey Graziadei Encounters a ‘Worst-Case Scenario’ During 1 Fantasy Suite Date

Joey Graziadei headed to Tulum, Mexico for his final leg Bachelor a journey.

But “I’m not feeling well,” Joey, 28, said in an on-camera interview at the start of Monday’s episode.

The tennis pro is still reeling from the heartbreak of Charity Lawson’s season Bachelor. “I’m kind of holding back because I want everything to go so well, but I don’t know what to do,” Joey explained.

RACHEL’S FANTASY APARTMENT

Before each of Joey’s finalists had a date with The Bachelor, they met with one of the ladies from The Golden Bachelor for advice. So Rachel started her day by talking to Susan Noles.

“Think of me as your mom, your best friend,” Susan, 66, told Rachel, 26. “I’m in your corner.”

Rachel told Susan that she was in love with Joey, but was hesitant because of a previous failed relationship.

“Don’t let it bother you,” Susan advised. “What I learned about myself from this show is that I am a prize. I am what man needs. You have to love yourself before you can love anyone else.”

During her date with Joey, he brought Rachel to a cenote and they jumped into it from multiple platforms, each higher than the last. At one point after landing in the water, Joey noticed something was wrong with Rachel and thought she might have hurt her jaw in the fall.

“He’s always trying to put on a brave face and say he’s fine,” Joey told the cameras. “And I know the reason he wants to keep pushing forward is because he doesn’t want to waste time or take away from what we can have, but I hope it’s good.” Rachel saw the doctor and told them she felt fine. “Even though she says she’s fine, I can tell she’s not, so we have to go to the hospital,” Joey insisted, adding, “It’s really the worst possible scenario.”

At the hospital, Rachel took an X-ray and received confirmation that she was healthy. So Rachel and Joey continued dating and later met up for drinks.

“I’m still upset about today,” Rachel admitted. “I think I still feel bad about ruining the date.”

Joey told Rachel that she “didn’t do anything wrong.” Rachel then went on to say that all her relationships have ended due to cheating, so this process started her because “I know you’re with someone else.”

“I understand that and I really appreciate you letting me in,” Joey replied.

Rachel cried in his arms before Joey invited her to spend the night with him in the Fantasy Suite. “Joey is the first guy I’ve ever felt this comfortable with just being myself,” the nurse told the cameras.

The next morning Rachel said to Joey, “Last night was good.” He agreed. “I felt like I saw a different side of you and it was good to see,” Joey told Rachel.

In an on-camera interview, Joey opened up about his feelings for Rachel after their date night.

“I’m falling in love with Rachel,” he said. “I love how much fun we have. It was nice to wake up next to someone you feel so comfortable with.”

FANTASY APARTMENT KELSEY A

Kelsey A. spoke with Gerry Turner runner-up Leslie Fhim before meeting Joey.

The women bonded over the fact that both their mothers died when they were around the same age, and Kelsey A., 25, explained how she now saw butterflies as a symbol of her mother. The junior project manager also told Leslie, 65, that she loves Joey.

“Part of me is like, oh my god, I feel crazy saying this,” Kelsey admitted. “I’m like, but I feel it, so it’s not that crazy.”

Leslie warned Kelsey to “be completely organic and not let anything get in your head.”

“I wish I hadn’t felt so confident because then I was devastated, very sad,” the radio personality continued. “Because I was really in love with him and I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy, I had that feeling when I was confident and then that was it. And I would say, just always have something in the back of your head that you might not be.”

That left Kelsey “completely freaked out and terrified,” she told the cameras. However, Kelsey went ahead with her date on the boat with Joey.

“I know there’s real love building between Kelsey and I because I feel it, but I just don’t know yet if Kelsey feels the same way about me as I do about her,” Joey said in an on-camera interview. “She never said the ‘L’ word.”

They went snorkeling and it was “so magical,” according to Kelsey.

Over dinner afterward, Kelsey told Joey about the advice Leslie had given her. “She told me not to expect and to always hope,” Kelsey said.

Joey understood what Leslie meant since he had a similar experience himself Bachelor.

“With Charity, I thought it was me,” Joey Kelsey said. “I was 100% sure, but it’s just, I feel like sometimes I struggle to be open because I still have that fear that it could be taken away from me.”

Kelsey recalled talking to her dad during a hometown date about her feelings for Joey. “I told him I love you,” she said. “Um, but I want to tell you that I love you, Joey.”

They kissed and then Joey told Kelsey, “I’m totally falling for you.”

Joey and Kelsey decided to spend the night in the Fantasy Suite and cooked breakfast together the next morning. “I’m really so happy right now,” Kelsey told the cameras.

Joey felt the same way. “It feels good to wake up this morning, look at you and confidently say I’m falling in love with you,” Kelsey said. “And I know it will continue to be built. And I’m leaving very confident in everything we had from yesterday and last night.”

Despite their happy ending, Kelsey started to get into her own head while Joey went on a date with Daisy. “I’d rather leave now than have my heart break completely,” she said to the cameras.

Daisy left Joey a note saying “we need to talk”, which understandably freaked him out.

“I’m done with this,” Joey said through tears. “This is like my worst nightmare coming true. I overdid it to give everything I could and I feel like they don’t choose me.”

DAISY’S FANTASY SUITE

Daisy was feeling “really emotional” going into her Fantasy Suite day with Joey. Luckily, Sandra Mason came along to help the account manager, 25, find the right place for her date.

Daisy described her journey with Joey so far for Sandra, 75, and told her about hearing with a cochlear implant.

“Be open and be, mostly, don’t be afraid to talk to Joey,” Sandra recommended.

Daisy admitted that she “could probably do better” when it came to opening up to Joey.

“Don’t just talk to Joey—give him some steam, maybe even make it sexual,” Sandra continued. “’I can’t wait to start practicing making babies’ or something like that. I’m telling you, men love it. They really do. Men’s intimacy is different than women’s.”

It seems Daisy tried to take Sandra’s advice, going for a makeover with Joey before they went on an ATV date.

“She makes me feel whole,” Joey said in an on-camera interview, adding that he can “imagine a future” with her.

They showered together after the ATV ride and went to the second part of the makeup in the shower. “I’m falling in love with him so much, deeper and deeper.” Daisy said to the cameras. “I don’t want it to end, ever. I always want him to be a part of my life.”

During dinner, Daisy opened up to Joey about how her ex “wasn’t someone who was emotionally available to me” and that she would “shut down” and say you were “overreacting” when she expressed her emotions to him. With Joey, however, Daisy said she felt “safe to open up.”

Joey then talked about a relationship he had in Hawaii where he “lost my trust that he was a good person, a good guy.”

“You honestly changed my life and the way I look at myself and I will forever be so grateful,” Daisy told Joey.

Joey told Daisy, “I’m falling for you and it’s been building for a while.”

Accordingly, the couple decided to spend the night together in the Fantasy Suite.

When they woke up, they were sipping mimosas in bed. “Cheers to moving forward and not looking back and staying confident with how we feel right now,” Joey said.

The Philadelphia native left the date thinking Daisy would agree if he proposed.

He told the cameras: “All my fears, my worries just disappeared.”
