Giada De Laurentiis is recovering from surgery!
The former Food Network star, 53, revealed she underwent “minor” sinus surgery in an Instagram post on Friday, May 17.
“Blessed recovery ❤️🩹 I had minor sinus surgery this morning — everything is fine but I’ll be spending the weekend right here recuperating with my family. Just missing Jadey!” wrote De Laurentiis.
The post included a photo of the Giadzy founder smiling while relaxing in bed with her boyfriend Shane Farley and their pets.

“Feel better soon! Sending well wishes,” one fan commented. Another wrote: “I wish you a speedy recovery ❤️🩹 hope you feel better soon 💐.”
It’s no surprise that their furry friends have been helping De Laurentiis in her recovery, as she previously told PEOPLE that she enjoys having “pets on the couch.”
“I’ve had a lot of people come up to me and say, ‘Can your dogs sleep on the couch?’ That kind of time is bonding time for us… I just love it,” De Laurentiis told PEOPLE in September 2022.
The announcement comes days after De Laurentiis sent his daughter Jade, 16, to her prom. Jade is De Laurentiis’ only child with ex-husband Todd Thompson.

De Laurentiis shared a little bit of the special moment with her fans by posting a photo of Jade in a strapless white lace miniskirt and sparkly heels on Instagram.
“Sending Jadey to prom last night 😭🥰,” De Laurentiis wrote. The teenager also recently celebrated another big milestone – he turned 16.
In March, De Laurentiis shared photos from her birthday celebration in Hawaii on Instagram, writing, “Today is Jadey’s sweet 16 – where does the time go? She is the kindest, most beautiful, caring, smart young lady and I am so lucky to call her mine 💜.” ”

De Laurentiis previously told PEOPLE that watching her daughter grow old has been an “emotional roller coaster.”
