The Bachelorette's Jenn Tran Calls Out Devin Strader for Following Maria Georgas on Social Media After Ending Engagement

Jenn Tran confronts Devin Strader for the first time since he called off their engagement over the phone.

After receiving the final rose during the season 21 finale bachelor, that aired on Tuesday, September 3, Devin and Jenn broke up. The couple sat down to discuss their relationship and the aftermath of the split on the After the Final Rose special.

“What I can’t understand is everything you did after we broke off our engagement,” Jenn told Devin before dropping a bombshell about another member of Bachelor Nation. “I end the engagement with a phone call, and the next day I wake up to you following girls on Instagram – not just any girl, but Maria [Georgas]. Not only is it so disrespectful to everything we’ve shared together, I just don’t understand it.”

“Why would you do such a thing?” she asked him, referring to her former co-star on Joey Graziadei’s season. “Because it completely invalidated our entire relationship, everything I felt for you, everything we felt for each other.”

– Obviously I let you down – answered Devin, who ended the 15-minute phone conversation with Jenn. “And I can’t say anything other than that. But everything I felt for you was real.”

When host Jesse Palmer asked Jenn what she would like her last words to Devin to be, she knew exactly what she was going to say.

“I hope you will learn that the weight of your words is important and that if you promise something, you have to be able to keep those promises,” she said. “I just, I just couldn’t do what you did in that position. And when I love something, I cherish it and cherish it, and I don’t throw it away the next day.”

Jenn then fired back, asking why Devin was out clubbing in New York with another one of her suitors, Jeremy, just hours after their breakup. When Devin said he went into town to see a client from work, Jenn asked, “At the club?”

“Am I not allowed to live life?” he replied, adding, “When we left the show, I had a lot of doubts, and unfortunately and sadly, I suppressed those feelings, and I’m telling you that honestly.”

“I can’t sit here and just listen to everything you said on that TV show, every time you said, ‘I love you so much. You’re the one I want to wake up to every day and fight for you,'” Jenn said. “Where was the fight? When did you try to fight for our relationship? I fought.”

Later, Devin admitted that he “didn’t meet” Jenna’s needs.

“I watched you grow and then I watched myself contribute to your decline,” he told her. “And it hurt—it hurt me. You don’t deserve to compromise your standards to be happy.”

You weren’t ready to fight for love, Jenn said. “The woman standing there was ready to fight for love, she was ready to give everything for a person, she was ready to start a family, she was ready to love and she understood what it means to love someone completely, to go through hard times, to go through happy time, going through every obstacle in life with someone steadfast no matter what.”

Devin then told Jenn that he was “trying to keep it short,” insisting that he had genuine feelings for her.

“I know I didn’t live up to a lot of your expectations to the point where, as you said, you did things that detracted from who you are,” he admitted. “And you can sit here and say I’m a liar, this and that, I’m not going to deny you any of those things.”

Jenn Tran admits she’s ‘fallen in love with all 4’ of the remaining men, but one says he’s ‘struggling’ to ‘meet her where she’s at’

Jenn and her final three men arrive in Hawaii for a week of dates across land, sea and sky. Amidst the pressure of upcoming overnight dates, some men struggle with the fear of commitment and rejection, leading them to question their future with Jenn. MONDAY, AUGUST 26

As fans may recall, Devin had a rough start with his co-stars from the beginning of the season, but he and Jenn hit it off almost immediately. On their date in Devin’s hometown, his mother encouraged him to express his feelings to Jenn.

“If you feel that way, don’t hold back,” Devin’s mom said. “You won’t be the one if you don’t.”

At the end of the day, Devin took her advice and told Jenn he loved her, to which she replied, “I’m falling hard for you.”

After leaving the fantasy suites, Devin was disheartened that Jenn hadn’t told him she loved him yet, and the episode leading up to the finale left fans wondering if the two would make it to the end.

“What I really want to hear is that she loves me too,” Devin told the cameras. “And not the day before I get down on my knees or anything like that. I want to know how I can build on that.”

He explained that he loved her because she appreciated him for who he was, but Jenn said she was still “on the road” to being in love.

A few days later, before the rose ceremony, Devin and Jenn sat down to discuss his concerns. He told her he felt like a “safe option”, adding: “Proposals are next week and I still don’t know where your head is at.”

“I don’t know how to be, maybe, what you need,” Jenn replied, continuing to drop the bombshell, “I love you, you damn idiot.”

Bachelor: Jenn Tran encourages Sam M. to ‘be better’ in Men Tell All: ‘You’re a grown man’

Devin was the first to receive one of the final two roses, along with contestant Marcus, at the rose ceremony later that night.

During the Men Tell All special, several of Jenn’s former suitors voiced their skepticism about Devin, who received backlash inside the house for stealing Jenn’s one-on-one during group dates. Jenn came to Devin’s defense, both during and after the show, calling out Thomas N. for taking time away from his conversations with her to talk about Devin.

“If you had focused on me, maybe the trip would have turned out a little differently for you,” she told him.
