This article contains spoilers for Episode 3 of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. Star Wars: Skull Crew’s new treasure planet, Attin, becomes even more mysterious after Episode 3. Viewers originally listened to skeleton crew Look forward to exploring the mystery of Jordyn Nawood, the new “Jedi Knight” played by Jude Law. This turned out to be misleading. Episode three publicly acknowledged his true identity, revealing that Jude Law is actually the pirate Scarlet Jack, although it’s unclear whether his Force sensitivity is a hoax. Instead, the real mystery of the show lies on the planet Atin.
Atine is one of the legendary “Jewel of the Old Republic” and is apparently the only one to survive to this day. Although skeleton crew Immerse yourself in a deep saga with a completely new concept that has never been seen before Star Warswhich makes it particularly exciting. Are we dealing with a lost world from the High Republic, or is it something deeper? skeleton crew The third episode left more clues, making the mystery even more intriguing.
At first glance, the Skeleton Crew’s treasure planet appears to be from the High Republic
Dated “Great Job”
My first guess is that At Attin dates back to the height of the Republic, roughly 200 years before the Skywalker Saga. There’s surprising evidence to support this theory: Apparently, the Atins were carrying out a “great work,” a familiar term to anyone well-versed in the field. Star Wars Knowledge. The Grand Projects are a series of massive, potentially galaxy-changing projects inspired by the politics of Chancellor Lina Soh during the High Republic.
Some great works leave a lasting legacy. For example, one of them was the creation of a vast communications network across the galaxy – the basis of the Holonet, which is still active in the sequel era. Unfortunately, others were destroyed by a pirate group called the Void. The luxury space station known as the “Starlight Beacon” was shot down, causing huge casualties. By the time of the original trilogy, it was remembered as a historical treasure. Still, the mention of Attin’s great work seems to imply that this world is another Lina Soh project.
‘Skull Crew’ Episode 3 Hints Atin Is Older
What exactly does “primitive republic” mean?
skeleton crew Episode three dropped an Easter egg that seemed to hint that Artin was much older. Wonderful new character Kh’ymm is shocked when studying the children’s crests, noting that she has never seen “Parma numerals on original republican artifactsWe don’t know what “Palmarish” refers to – presumably a number from a never-before-discussed planet called Palmar – but what really matters is that the Kh’ymm believed it was a “primordial Republic artifact.”
We need to look back to the dawn of the Republic itself, long after its heyday.
“Proto” is a prefix that often means “first,” “most important,” or “earliest form.” Huim’s comments should be taken as a huge hint that we need to look back far beyond the High Republic, to the dawn of the Republic itself. This means Atin was settled about 25,000 years ago, making the planet much older than we thought. This possibility is very exciting, but it does seem to contradict another important clue.
We know that Artin is no more than 5,000 years old
They know the Sith
The history and origins of the Sith are shrouded in mystery. The generally accepted story is that some 5,000 years before the events of the Skywalker Saga, the Jedi Order experienced a schism when a group of Jedi turned to the dark side. After being exiled to the planet Moraband, these dark forces reformed into their own cult – the Sith. That’s the problem; the characters skeleton crew Everyone is familiar with the Sith. We see this when Wym opens his storybook and when he and Neal have a mock lightsaber duel.
Sith were apparently common knowledge to Artin. This means the planet couldn’t have been settled more than 5,000 years ago, which moves it to the core Old Republic portion of the timeline. So what do we make of Khymm’s comments suggesting that Attin dates back to the days of the “Primitive Republic”? Here I think the solution lies in understanding the complexity of the problem Star Wars timeline. We tend to think of the Republic’s 25,000-year history as a unified whole, but it actually went through a series of massive reforms.
There is evidence that at least three reforms took place after the Sith were released into the galaxy. The most important events occurred approximately 1,000 years ago in the Skywalker Saga, after the defeat of Darth Bane. The Sith were thought extinct, and the Jedi and Republic re-established galactic power. When Huim refers to the “Primitive Republic,” she may simply be describing this era – the period of destruction of the Sith and reform of the Republic.
All other “Treasures of the Old Republic” were destroyed
But how are they destroyed?
Which brings me to my final clue: in fact, all the other gems of the Old Republic were destroyed, and Atyn became a legend throughout the galaxy. We now know that Obi-Wan Kenobi was wrong to describe the Old Republic era as a time of peace, or at least he was being overly nostalgic. Still, the idea that the last thousand years were dangerous enough to destroy so many important planets seems chilling. Even Obi-Wan’s rose-tinted glasses couldn’t ignore this.
I don’t think Atyn was founded during the Great Sith War, though. Wym and the other children traveled the galaxy with optimism, believing they would encounter the Republic, and they were not afraid of the Sith; this showed that they believed the Sith had been destroyed. But it’s possible that “At Attin” takes place during the so-called Rusan Reformation, shortly after the death of Darth Bane. The nascent Republic would always be trying to consolidate its power, which undoubtedly meant that this was an era of pirates and the like plundering the “jewels of the Old Republic.”
So, how do we think about great work? Simply put, if this interpretation is correct, then Finance Minister Lina Soh would have resurrected an older, even legendary, term to describe her project in the High Republic era. It’s easy to imagine an ambitious, visionary prime minister looking back to a time of bold reforms to justify her current vast, expensive projects, inspiring confidence that the republic is continuing to grow. Star Wars: Skeleton CrewThis mysterious planet may be much older than it initially appears, but that doesn’t necessarily contradict anything.
Set in the Star Wars universe, Skeleton Crew tells the story of four young adventurers lost in the galaxy while searching for their home planet. The play records their exploration and encounters with different worlds and characters, presenting themes of friendship, discovery and seeking a sense of belonging.
