James O’Halloran wants to help you win big The price is right!
The show’s favorite male model dished on how fans can compete for a chance to compete on the iconic series and make sure they walk away with the grand prize during an interview with TVLine.
The price is right he picks his contestants directly from his live studio audience, and when it comes to getting the producers’ attention and choosing to “come down,” O’Halloran said, “the best way to get called is to be super energetic.”

“Just get really excited and get into the present with what’s going on,” he explained. “While the show is going on, the producers keep an eye on who is hired. If you play along with the people up there, if you’re enthusiastic, they’ll say, ‘Hey, we’ve got one live here’.”
Once the contestants take the stage, the model noted that eagle-eyed fans can get into the swing of things by paying attention to patterns during the games.
“There are definitely a lot of hacks and tricks to many from games. And if you’re careful, there’s a lot of patterns,” he continued. “In some games, numbers will always end in zero, so you don’t have to waste time with other numbers. For some of them, the prices are basically the same every time.”

O’Halloran added: “If you watched that game again, you can give the same answers and you’ll win. The best way to learn them is to watch the series. Be alert. Look for patterns. It’s not a fluke.”
And if all else fails, the television personality said the players could look to the audience for answers.
“A large part of the audience is fanatical viewers of the show,” he said. “If you have no idea what’s going on, it’s worth listening to them. Many of these games don’t live up to chance. It’s the same answer every time and that’s what they’re trying to tell you.”

“Another piece of advice is to be careful [host] Drew [Carey]. He’s not going to tell you the answers, but he wants you to win,” he continued. “If you’re way off, he might say, ‘Can you do that again?’ Just to give you one more chance to maybe change your answer.”
“Pay attention to Drew and the crowd. He’s going to help you as much as he can get away with,” O’Halloran added.
