Famous singer and actress Barbra Streisand has reiterated her intention to leave the country if a certain political candidate wins the presidential election.
Streisand, a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton in 2016, expressed her displeasure with the current administration and reluctance to remain in the state under such leadership during a recent interview on “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert.
During the conversation, Colbert asked Streisand about possible relocation options if she were to leave the country. In a casual way, Streisand mentioned, “Probably England, I like England.”
She has previously mentioned her interest in moving to Canada or another country in case the same candidate is elected president in 2016, indicating that the sentiment is not entirely new.
Like many other celebrities, Streisand decided to stay in the United States after the 2016 election, despite previously promising to leave the country if the candidate won.
Following the election results, celebrities such as Cher, Bryan Cranston and Amy Schumer, among others, made similar pledges but ultimately decided to stay in the country.
