  • Lisa and Brian appeared in the second season of the series Ultimatum: Get married or move onwhere they had an explosive fight at the end of the premiere episode
  • The pair sat down to talk things through in episode 2, where Lisa revealed to Brian that she was pregnant
  • The couple appeared at the reality series’ reunion to update fans on their relationship, and the two are happily together (but not engaged) while raising their son together

Ultimatum: Get married or move on stars Lisa and Brian present their baby to the world for the first time.

Sharing photos of their family of four with PEOPLE, Lisa and Brian — who were among five couples on the Netflix series’ second season — celebrate how their short-lived time in the experiment did help build their family.

Lisa and Brian were all smiles as they posed with their toddler son Mason and Lisa’s 10-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

After a heated argument during the mixer in the first episode, Lisa left and Brian continued, expecting her to go along with the experiment. Later in the episode, when the cast met for a dinner to choose their new marriage partners, Brian and Lisa were not present. Co-host Nick Lachey revealed the couple decided to leave the experiment early after Lisa found out she was pregnant with Mason.

Speaking to PEOPLE in August after the big reveal, the couple shared that despite not getting the full picture Ultimatum experience, they believe their short time on the show helped their relationship.

“It definitely gave us a lot more self-awareness in terms of looks [us] emotionally,” Lisa explained. “It’s easy for him to tell when I’m excited about something or when I’m upset about something. Now he takes these things very, very seriously.”

As for Brian, he believes that being on the show was beneficial because it “put a lot of things into perspective” in terms of who they are as partners, parents and individuals.

“We were super vulnerable, and obviously for the world to see and for us to see. It definitely opened our minds more about what we were going through,” the financial analyst explained. “And that made us more willing to actually work on those things.”

“And as parents, I think it gives us a little more softness that we need,” he added. “Even though a lot of people don’t see it, but we have a really great friendship and a fair relationship overall.”

“In this life, the greatness of your heart, which extends beyond this universe, can be overshadowed by the shortcomings of your human actions. Those who recognize this are not quick to judge, but quicker to reach out. These are the people who will endure the journey with you 🔐 This experience was for books, but it’s time to turn the page 📖.”
