The Voice fans shocked as NBC show makes big announcement over Gwen Stefani and Niall Horan

In a move that has upset The Voice fans, NBC has made a surprise announcement that promises an exciting twist on the upcoming 25th season of the singing competition.

Chart-topping country duo Dan + Shay, known individually as Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, will be in the spotlight as the series’ first pair of trainers, in an event bold start to the traditional singles coach format.

This Grammy Award-winning group, known for their hit You, is ready to bring their unique perspective and immense talent to the next generation of singing emotions.

The duo couldn’t contain their excitement as they shared the good news on Instagram, exclaiming: “TOUCH HAPPY NOTICE THAT WE WILL JOIN @nbcthevoice IN 2024 AS THE TRAINING DUO FIRSTLY!”

Airing next year, Season 25 of Dan + Shay will join the established coaching ranks of music industry giants John Legend, Chance the Rapper and country legend Reba McEntire.

However, this is not the first time the duo has joined The Voice. They’ve previously lent their expertise to season 20 contestants as combat mentors to longtime coach Blake Shelton.

Blake Shelton’s departure from The Voice after 23 impressive seasons has left a significant void.

Fans were wondering who could replace the “God’s Country” singer. Their questions were answered when NBC recently revealed that celebrity Reba McEntire would appear in Season 24, making a coach debut before three returning coaches: John Legend, Gwen Stefani and the season winner first, Niall Horan.

Reba’s date caused a lot of excitement. After recently becoming a major mentor on The Voice during season 23, she told E! News: “I’m so excited” about her full inaugural season. When asked about her approach to the competition, she explained: “I’m not really worried about the competition. Sometimes I’ll give them some advice to help them, but I’ll be gentle with them.”

Apparently, Reba’s addition to the coaching staff received a warm welcome. Blake herself shared her enthusiastic support.

Speaking to E!, he said: “I’m happy to have Reba join. I think that’s right. According to versions of the story I’ve heard, she’s the original coach they were. wanted to be here. The Voice is going to represent the country. So now that I’m done, for her to finally get the job she wants, that would be fun.”

Vote Season 24 will premiere sometime in the fall of 2023 on NBC, while Season 25 will premiere in 2024.
