A three-bed house in a popular seaside town could be yours for just £12,000 – but it’s hiding a nasty secret.
The property in Blackpool, Lancashire, is just meters from the town’s iconic seafront.

But the pictures show that he fell victim to some unwanted guests.
The house was overrun by squatter pigeons who covered the rooms with droppings.
Inside, everything is plastered with bird droppings – from the furniture to the walls and even the abandoned belongings of the previous tenants.
In the Rightmove listing for the 1,141 sq ft house, the seller sidesteps an obvious problem.
However, they admit that it should be completely removed.
It says: “The house faces Haig Road with rear access to the yard via Adrian Street, just beyond the coast and beach.
“The property requires removal and refitting.
“Interior photos taken during inspection in June 2023, property not inspected by auctioneers.”
Reddit users flooded the site to discuss the hideous interior, with one writing “now I see why it’s cheap” and another echoing “somehow £12,000 seems overpriced for this”.
Another user expressed concern about the safety of the property, saying: “Quite a bit of pigeon crap makes it a health hazard.”
My council house was so dreary and damp – then a cowboy builder made it WORSE so I transformed it myself using charity
Another mocked the alleged executor, typing: “Here’s one of those £12,000 houses your grandparents are always telling you about. ‘A little elbow grease and it would have been like rain, in my day’.”
And a fourth joked: “I could smell it from here.”
However, one anonymous user claims that the house could still be worth it for a low price.
They said: “The houses along the road cost about £85,000. It’s probably going to cost £30,000, another £30,000 to top it up, it’s still a nice little gain.”
The controversial property will be auctioned by Network Auctions Limited on December 5.
The sale comes after another house, in Edinburgh, was put on the market for £195,000 – with a catch.
The party-loving owner installed an all-LED lighting display on the ceiling—not to mention the screaming purple color scheme.
One unimpressed prospective buyer wrote, “This might actually be the worst thing I’ve ever seen,” describing it as “the Addams family house was remodeled on The Sims by a goth teenager inspired by emo Tumblr pages.”
Meanwhile, another property with a big secret has been put up for sale – but this time one that has attracted buyers.
The £2.3 million west London home was located in St Luke’s Mews – the street where Mark confesses his love to Juliet in Love Actually.
Mark – played by Andre Lincoln – uses the big cards to admit how he feels about Keira Knightley’s character, in a moment watched by millions every Christmas.
