Surrey Police say the incident was isolated and they are not currently looking for anyone else involved.

The police completed the mandatory referral to the IOPC supervisor due to previous police contact with those involved.

Paramedics found four bodies at an address in Bremer Road, Staines, after responding to the call.

A Surrey Police spokesman said: “Officers were called by South East Coast Ambulance Service to a property in Bremer Road, Spelthorne, at around 1.15pm today.

“Unfortunately, they found the bodies of three children and one man.

“An investigation is being conducted to determine the circumstances of their death.

“At this stage, police believe this is an isolated incident with no third party involvement.

“Their next of kin are aware and will be supported by specialists. We ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.”

Chief Inspector Lucy Sanders said: “This is a tragic loss of life in our community and we are working to establish exactly what happened.

“Currently, there is a significant presence of the police at the location, as well as in the surrounding area.

“We would like to thank the local population for their patience and understanding while we carried out the investigation.”
