Two men are treated in the hospital for serious but injuries that are not dangerous, while the third man is treated for less difficult inquiries.
According to local councilor Fine Gael Ray McAdam, they were told to stay inside and lock their doors.
He said Gardai quickly arrived in place and “transferred the place”, with Gardai in the community to residents that he would maintain the presence in the area.
McAdam also said that the rapid response of emergency services made residents facilitated, but there is a level of shock and concern in the area.
He said, “There is a level of shock, a level of concern – but the most important meaning here in Stonybatter is hope that those who are affected and injured will recover quickly.”
He added, “There is a feeling” how could it happen in our neighborhood? “
In a statement of this evening, Gardai urged witnesses to report.
They said: “Gardai continues to explore all the circumstances of the serious incident that happened in the Stoneybatter area, Dublin 7, this afternoon, Sunday, February 9, 2025.
“The man was arrested and is currently detained at the Garda station in the northern city under Article 4 of the 1984 Criminal Justice Act.

“Three males attacked during the incident were taken to the hospital for treatment, two males for serious but not life -threatening injuries, one man with less serious injuries.”
“Currently, numerous technical inspection scenes are preserved in the Stoneybatter area. All traffic limitations have been abolished.”
“Gardai appeals to all witnesses to this incident.
“Anyone who was in the Stoneybatter area between 2.30pm and 3.30pm, which could have any videos connected to this incident, is required to make this recording available to Gardai.
“Everyone who has information is required to contact the Bridewell Garda station on (01) 6668200, the confidential line of the Guard at 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.”

According to the Irish Times, the attacks are believed to have occurred in three different places in the Stoneybatter area.
One person is believed to be stabbed at the door of their house when returning home.
The suspect is believed to have used regular home complaints in the attack.
According to reports, some victims were failed.
And the sources have confirmed that Gardai does not believe that the incident is associated with terrorism, and the attacks are random.
Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan described the incident as a “awful random attack”.
Posting on social networks, he said: “I am receiving updates from Garda Siochana about the situation in Stoneybatter.
“The suspect is now in custody, and the victims of this terrible random attack receive medical attention.”
Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald said the locals are in “shock condition”.
Posting on social networks, she said, “The terrible news from Stoneybatter this afternoon.
“My thoughts are injured and their families. The community is in shock.
“Gardai and emergency services need to boast about their answer.”
‘HEARTBREAKING’
A spokesman for the Social Democrat for Justice, Internal Affairs and Migration also thanked the emergency room for their quick response.

“My thoughts are with victims, their families and the whole community affected by the team.
“Honestly thank you to our emergencies and Gardai for such a quick response this afternoon.”
