Tiffany Haddish is celebrating her birthday. The comedian and actress marked her 44th birthday on Sunday with a post in honor of herself. “Happy birthday to me🎼🎶🎵🎶!!!!!. I’m ready for my next chapter in life,” Haddish — who was arrested on a DUI charge last month — captioned a clip of her singing at the A Great Gatsby Affair party she hosted in Long Island, New York, back in July.

“I have more music and another book and I can’t wait to share with the world all the work I do for my family and all my real unicorns,” she added. “I also want to say thank you to the band that helped me put that show together, especially @diimondsareforever my music director and @andydrachman who filmed it and made it look beautiful.”
Haddish also thanked the “beautiful woman in Eritrea 🇪🇷” who “made my dress” in the clip shown. “I told you that I will wear it and the world will see. I keep my promises, everyone who knows me knows that. It may take some time, but I always keep my promise. Just ask God”, she concluded.

Tiffany Haddish Makes Fun of Her Drug Arrest While Filming Comedy: Report
Haddish’s birthday announcement comes before she is reportedly due in court in connection with her arrest for allegedly falling asleep at the wheel on Nov. 24.
PEOPLE confirmed that Haddish faced a DUI charge after being arrested by the Beverly Hills Police Department (BHPD) at the time. Haddish, who was arrested after authorities were notified of a woman behind the wheel of a vehicle that stopped but was still driving on Beverly Drive, was released the same day.
After her arrest, she performed her stand-up show at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach, California, where she spoke about the incident in audio obtained by TMZ

It was recorded by an audience member on the show, and Haddish is heard in the audio being asked what happened “last night,” to which she replies, “You tell me.”
“I prayed to God to send me a man with a job, a career, preferably in uniform, and I heard my prayers,” she added in the video.
A representative for Haddish did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment at the time.
Haddish was previously arrested for another DUI offense in Georgia in January 2022. The call to authorities said she fell asleep at the wheel again on Highway 74.
“The ensuing investigation led to the arrest of Ms. Tiffany Haddish for driving under the influence,” police told PEOPLE at the time. “She was transported to the Fayette County Jail without incident.”
