Tillu Tajpuria was an Indian gangster involved in various illegal activities like murder, extortion, illegal car ownership, etc. He came into the limelight in 2021 when his gang members killed rival gang leader Jitender Gogi in Delhi’s Rohini court. On May 2, 2023, he was killed in an attack by his rivals inside Tihar jail.

Friendship turns into war
While in college, he had a good relationship with Jitender Gogi, but during the college elections, they both supported different vice-presidential candidates. Soon, their college rivalry reaches its worst point, turning into a gang war. Later, Thiru was associated with gangsters like Neeraj Bawana, Naveen Bali, Sunil Rathi and Cheenu. Tajipriya and Gogi did not participate directly in the election, but they provided strength to the candidates. It’s unclear why the two decided to support two different candidates despite being such close friends. That’s when they came into contact with local criminal elements. In fact, the first case registered against Gogi was also a fight between him and other students outside Alipur College in 2008. He was booked for attempted murder at the time.
On January 21, 2015, members of the Gogi gang killed Raju Chor, one of the close associates of the Tilu gang. In revenge, Tillu’s gang killed Arun Commando, a close associate of the Gogi gang, followed by the murder of Master Niranjan of the Gogi gang. In 2016, he was arrested in connection with the Niranjan murder case in Guskani village of Rohtak. Earlier, the prize money was Rs. Fifty thousand was put on his head. Thiru and his partner Vikas alias Vicky were arrested in the case. This is the beginning of a gang war between two gangs. In response, Gogi killed Sumit and Devendra Pradhan, who were associated with the Tiru gang. The Tiru gang then killed another member of the Gogi gang named Ankit. In 2018, a war broke out between the Tiru and Gogi gangs in Burari, Delhi, which led to a series of murders by members of both gangs. They carried out a mass shooting that left four people dead. In 2021, when Thiru was in Delhi’s Tihar Jail Mandora, his gang hatched a plan to murder Gogi and two of his accomplices, Uman Yadav and Vinay, dressed as lawyers in 2021, Delhi Rohini court murdered Gogi. On the morning of May 2, 2023, Tillu Tajpuriya was attacked and killed by his opponents in Tihar Jail. The attack happened around 6:30 a.m., according to prison officials. According to Delhi Police West Zone Additional DCP Akshat Kaushal, Tillu is lodged in jail number 9, while Yogesh Tunda, a member of his rival gang Gogi, is lodged in jail number 8; Yogesh Tunda Join other members of rival gangs to attack Tilu with an iron grill.
