Some fans will have to wait a little longer to see TLC.
The iconic R&B group took to social media on May 14 to reveal that Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and other members of their touring band had recently come down with the flu, prompting the “Waterfalls” artists to push back four Canadian tour dates.
“It is with great regret that we have to inform you that we have to cancel the upcoming date. Unfortunately, several members of our tour, including T-Boz, have come down with the flu. As a result, she has lost her voice. She has been advised by doctors that she will not be performing this week,” the statement read. to the press release from TLC, which also features Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Your support means a lot to us and we look forward to the opportunity to perform for you in the near future,” the duo, both 53, added. “We love you and see you soon.”
New dates will be announced at a later date for TLC’s May 14th in Moncton, NB, May 16th in Windsor, ON and May 18th in Peterborough, ON. Watkins and Thomas’ May 17th concert in Niagara Falls, ON has also been postponed, although a new date of October 3rd has already been announced.
TLC is currently scheduled to return to the stage on June 15th in Lincoln, California, and they have several North American tours planned throughout the summer.

Last month, the “Unpretty” singers won the Landmark Award at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles.
Before accepting the honor, Watkins and Thomas delivered nostalgic renditions of their hits “No Scrubs” and “Waterfalls” — with Latto joining them on the latter song and rapping a verse from the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.

The four-time Grammy winners, who continued as a duo after Lopes’ death in 2002 in a car accident at the age of 30, have released five studio albums. After the release of the same name TLCas a duo in 2017, Thomas and Watkins told PEOPLE that the project will be their last record.
“We are TLC forever, no matter what,” Thomas said. “We worked hard together to build this brand.”
