Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas has officially become a grandmother!
The TLC singer’s son, Tron Austin, is a first-time dad after welcoming a baby girl with wife Jeong Ah Wang on Saturday, March 2. Austin shared a sweet photo of his new family of three on his Instagram, posing with his wife and their newborn daughter at the hospital.
“Today, March 2, 2024 at 1:59 PM 6,173 LBS/2.8 kg angel from heaven our beautiful daughter LUA婁娥) was born we are officially parents!!” the proud new father began his caption.
Told that his daughter had come early, Austin noted that Wang had to have an emergency C-section.
“I am so beyond proud of her bravery and courage to do this so unprepared that we were literally expecting 3 more days, but God always has His plan first! I am eternally grateful to say that we have officially started our family!”
“This is a dream come true. We started dating on September 22nd, 2018 fast forward almost 6 years later we are married with our first child. The journey of life has now truly begun!!! 👨👩👧✨❤️,” Austin concluded.

Tron Austin Tells PEOPLE Growing Up With TLC, Inspired by Watching Mama Chilli’s Happiness (Exclusive)
The couple shared their exciting new baby news for the first time after a complicated fertility journey.
“WE ARE PREGNANT!! 👶🏻WE CAN FINALLY ANNOUNCE OUR DAUGHTER 🌙 LUNA WANG AUSTIN 🌙 will be here March 2024!”
The musician praised his wife, expressing his pride and gratitude for her sacrifice after numerous medical procedures on their fertility journey, including two HSG procedures – an X-ray used to examine the inside of the uterus and fallopian tubes, one egg retrieval and one hysteroscopy which involved “removing the tubes and scars after hernia and appendix surgeries.” He also revealed that the two had experienced a miscarriage.
“I am in awe of your efforts and I am blessed and honored by Jesus himself to begin this journey with you,” he added. “I love you so much you will be the best mother EVER! We have come a long way 5 years later, married and expecting our first child. Loyalty goes a long way ❤️🔥🥰.”
Austin talked about his hopes as a father when he spoke to PEOPLE in April about the Paramount+ series A family heirloomwhere he talked about what it was like growing up on the road with iconic R&B/hip-hop group TLC.
“We see backstage, we see the costumes come off the mic and I don’t think people see that part, that we really appreciate our parents for doing what they do and putting themselves on the line in that way,” he said.
“It’s a very hard job and you can’t be there all the time, even when you have children, you have to continue in this direction. As a father on the rise, I think about how I want to do the same with my children,” he said then.
“I want to make sure that I’m there as much as possible, but that they also understand that daddy’s got to do what daddy’s got to do, and that doesn’t change the love between us.”
