Toby Keith relied on religion in his final days.
In an interview with News 9 In late January, the country singer, who died at the age of 62 on Monday night, revealed that he relied on his faith to get him through his diagnosis.
“You take it for granted on the good days and rely on it on the bad days,” Keith told host Robin Marsh. “It taught me to lean on a little more every day.”

This ultimately helped him find peace with his illness.
“I went through all the chemo, radiation, surgery, and I got to the point where I was comfortable with whatever happened. I had my brain about it and I was in a good place anyway,” Keith said.
Apart from faith, he could not have survived the battle with cancer even without his wife Patricia and family.
“There was a troupe. “She jumped right in, took control and said, ‘We got this,'” the “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” singer said.

“Please respect his family’s privacy at this time,” the message concluded.
Keith continued to perform and entertain audiences for the rest of his life.
In September, he performed his 2019 song “Don’t Let the Old Man In” at the 2023 People’s Choice Country Awards.
