An undertaker played by Gareth Pierce struggled to find love in Weatherfield after trying to win the attention of Billy Mayhew.
But in recent weeks, as his former love interest Paul Foreman battled symptoms of motor neurone disease, Todd was head over heels for a new man – Paul’s carer, Moses.
Paul and Billy (played by Peter Ash and Daniel Brocklebank) pushed Moses towards Todd, played by actor Michael Fatogun.
And while the chemistry between the two is palpable, their date doesn’t go as planned as Todd receives texts from George Shuttleworth about an emergency at work, despite having the day off.
In scenes to air next week, Todd’s new romance with Moses looks doomed as the newcomer drops a bombshell on him.
At the Rovers, a dejected Moses tells Todd that he is moving to London to find another job.
Could Todd be tempted to leave with him?
Moses made a good impression on most of the cobblestone residents, but when Paul’s mother Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) is released from prison, things take a turn for the worse.
After ordering him to enjoy his free time while she looked after Paul, Bernie was shocked to find Billy lying on the sofa after he’d pulled his back helping his other half out of the bath.
It quickly became apparent that Billy had no choice but to do something because Moses was late.
On the street, Moses explained to Todd that he was too busy, and an angry Bernie watched the conversation unfold from a distance.
