The journey to the final product was full of taste testing, with some sips more helpful than others.

Holland explained how a colleague Spider-Man star and girlfriend Zendaya was useful in some way from behind. “Zendaya hates beer, like, absolutely hates beer. “She doesn’t drink beer at all, and in the first round of testing she said, ‘Wow, these are really tasty,’ and I said, ‘Well, that’s probably not a good sign,'” joked Holland.

Each of the three beers has specific references to Dutch life. Kingston Golden Pils is named after its hometown of Kingston upon Thames and is described as a “fresh take” on European Pils. Personal references don’t stop with beer names. The cans, which are gold and jewel-toned (deliberately not the blue hues of many other NA beers), feature a trout emblem. The symbol is another reference to the hometown of the Netherlands.

Bero is sold online in six-flavor packs ($16), 12-packs ($30), 18-packs ($45) and 24-packs ($55). A 12-pack ($33.50) is also available. The brand is slated to roll out to Target stores nationwide in early 2025.
