Tony Danza's 4 Children: All About Marc Anthony, Katherine, Gina and Emily

Tony Danza learned a lot through his four children: Marc Anthony, Gina, Katherine and Emily.

The Taxi the actor became a father for the first time at age 19 while attending the University of Dubuque in Iowa, where he attended on a wrestling scholarship, according to his website. Tony and ex-wife Rhonda Yeoman had their first child, son Marc Anthony, in 1971. They eventually divorced in 1974, though they later rekindled and celebrated the arrival of their daughter Gina in 1983.

Speaking with Los Angeles Times, Tony admitted that the first years of fatherhood were not the easiest for him, because he was a child himself. “In a way, it’s hard when you’re such a young father. But you grow together,” he said.

In 1986, Tony married Tracy Robinson, and the following year they had a daughter, Katherine. Their second daughter, Emily, was born in 1992. (Tony and Robinson separated in 2006 before divorcing in 2013.)

Despite the 21-year age difference between the oldest and youngest Danzo siblings, they have maintained a close bond with each other. Katherine and Emily were each other’s bridesmaids recently, and Tony occasionally shares moments from their family life on social media.

Marc Anthony Danza, 53

Tony and Yeoman welcomed their son Marc Anthony on January 29, 1971.

Marc Anthony was the only Danza sibling to follow in his dad’s footsteps in Hollywood, after starring opposite Tony in his hit sitcom Taxi In 1978, he was only 7 years old at the time and despite his father’s reluctance to raise a child actor, Marc Anthony pushed for the gig.

“I was adamant that he should not act like a child. I just don’t think it’s the best thing for kids. Still, when I look back on it, I wonder why he was so talented,” Tony said in an interview with the Television Academy Foundation.

The Who’s the boss? The alum continued: “He really was so good. The way he laughs and his honesty is amazing… He’s living true to fictional circumstances and that blows my mind.”

Marc Anthony has since quietly left Hollywood to focus on his family. He and his wife, Julie, have been married for more than 20 years and have two sons, both of whom have taken an interest in baseball.

Gina Danza, 40

Tony and Yeoman celebrated the arrival of their second child together, daughter Gina, who was born in June 1983. Not much is known about her as she was reclusive for most of her life.

Katherine Danza, 37

Tony and Robinson had a daughter, Katherine, on May 8, 1987 – a year after the couple married.

While Katherine, who goes by Katie, didn’t follow in her famous father’s footsteps per se, she did end up in a career right next to his as a freelance celebrity makeup artist and beauty consultant.

She has steadily made a name for herself in the industry, working with stars such as Leighton Meester, Chrissy Teigen and Rachel Bilson. Katherine has also collaborated with brands such as 7 For All Mankind, Puma and Kith, as well as W magazine, according to her website.

Before starting her solo career, she was the beauty editor of The Zoe Report magazine.

On December 16, 2023, Katherine married Adam Greenberg in front of 193 of their closest friends and relatives at the Per La Hotel in Los Angeles. The location served as a nod to her father’s Italian roots, Katherine said Martha Stewart Weddings.

“Hotel Per La was originally built in 1923 as the headquarters of the Bank of Italy in Los Angeles, which I loved because I’m half Italian,” she explained.

The pair originally met through mutual friends in 2020, but didn’t start a romance until they connected on a dating app a few months later. Katherine’s younger sister, Emily, served as her only bridesmaid as both parents walked her down the aisle.

Emily Danza, 31

Tony and Tracy’s daughter Emily, affectionately called Emmie, was born on November 24, 1992.

A certified professional yogi, Emily took up breathing and mobility while living in New York in 2011. She completed an apprenticeship with Yoga to the People before studying with Matthew Phippen “in learning the fundamentals of functional range conditioning and its integration with yoga asanas” , according to her website.

She taught yoga in studios throughout Manhattan, but has since moved to Los Angeles, where she still teaches in-person group classes and through her digital studio.

Emily married her husband CJ on October 15, 2022. She wore an ivory pantsuit with a long train and chose Katherine as her bridesmaid.

“I was the father of the bride and I gave a speech. I didn’t cry all the way through,” Tony said of his youngest child’s wedding during an interview with Patch.

The Don Jon the star even serenaded Emily in the middle of her speech. “It was the most beautiful day,” he said, adding that CJ is “a great guy.”
