BBC leader Janice Forsyth revealed that she was forced to deviate from her work after being diagnosed with the disease of Alzheimer’s early beginning.
The 65-year-old thought she was suffering from anxiety when her symptoms first appeared in 2022, but doctors have since confirmed the attack.

The head of the BBC Scotland has been missing from her work day afternoon show for some time.
She spoke about the symptoms three years ago, after fighting for some tasks.
Janice praised the care she received from the NHS -Ai described how she was diagnosed with some relief.
In a statement, the former presenter recognized that she was absent “for some time” and that she has now reached the stage, wanting to inform people the reason why.
She described how her symptoms first introduced themselves.
Describing anxiety, Janice also suggested that she found navigation tasks “extremely difficult”.
Initially, the Emiter said that she was “simply worn out” by years of free work.
She also questioned whether she was “exhausted” after the devastating loss of her “dear” mother, Patricia.
Describing the diagnosis as a “huge blow”, Janice confirmed that she was able to “stay lush” with some “relief” after finally receiving an explanation.
Trying to stay positive, she talked about “happy” to have “time and freedom” to enjoy with her beautiful friends and family.
The statement read: “Unfortunately, now I have a solid diagnosis of Alzheimer’s early beginning.”

Janice also revealed that she took a step back from social media for her own privacy.
She previously introduced the afternoon show on Radio Scotland and founded her own production company called Big Light.
