The father-of-two worked with Mr Lewis on the MoneySavingExpert website before changing jobs to become a primary school teacher.
A statement from Norfolk Police today said: “Police can confirm that the body of a man was found in Norwich last night.
“The body was discovered in an area near Heathgate in the city shortly before 8pm.
“Although formal identification has yet to be carried out, the family of 37-year-old Anthony Hill, who was reported missing from his home in Norwich on Monday, has been notified.
“The death is believed to be non-suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.”
Lewis broke his silence this afternoon with an emotional message to Anthony’s family.
On X, he wrote: “It is with a heavy heart that I share this. My love to Ant’s wife Kayleigh and their girls.
“That’s the worst news. I’m so sorry for all of Ant’s friends and his little students. I’ll remember you fondly, Ant.
“Also thanks to the thousands of you who shared the posts while Ant was missing, I know it helped his family. RIP”
Mr Hill, a father of two daughters aged six and four, left his home in Thorpe St Andrew at around 7.45am.
CCTV footage showed him at the Co-op store on Sprowston Road, Norwich at 9.58am before he disappeared.
Officers previously believed he was walking towards Mousehold Heath via Gilman Road.
Mr Hill’s heartbroken wife Kayleigh Hill, 36, helped organize a major search with concerned locals.
Taking to Facebook earlier this week, she posted an emotional message, writing: “Anyone who has time off to help is greatly appreciated, I’ll be there today, we need to find our girls daddy.”
She added: “Please keep looking please Ant if you see any of this please come home it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been gone just come home we love you and we need you back.”
Martin Lewis also launched his own social media appeal to raise awareness.
In a post on Xu, formerly Twitter, MSE said: “This is devastating. Please share.
“Anthony is a wonderful man who worked in the MoneySavingExpert business team before leaving to pursue his brave passion and start teaching. I hope and pray he is well.
“Please spread the word.”
