Travis and Jason Kelce share their voices after the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade shooting that left Lisa Lopez-Galvan dead and 22 injured.
The NFL stars sent a heartfelt message to their fans ahead of Wednesday’s episode New heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, which is pre-recorded and will be hosted by Chris Long and Beau Allen.
“Attention 92%ers, we have a pre-recorded episode for you on Wednesday, but after the tragic events at the Super Bowl parade in Kansas City, it didn’t feel right without you calling us first,” Travis, 34, said at the start of the special introduction to podcast published online on Monday.

“We just wanted to say our hearts go out to all the victims, their families, Chiefs Kingdom and really all of Kansas City that was really there that day to try and celebrate the community,” Jason, 36, added.
“The events that happened are unfortunate and deeply tragic. Therefore, we want to thank the local police who took action, the first emergency services on the scene and everyone who was willing to help those affected by this tragedy,” he continued.
Travis reminded his fans that an emergency fund has been set up to help victims and their families, as well as violence prevention, mental health services and emergency services.

Jason praised the Kansas City community for “coming together and rallying around the people who have been affected” by the tragedy.
“One of the beautiful things we have doing this podcast is the wonderful community out there — the 92%ers — everyone who watches this show,” he continued.
“We’re still figuring out how we can be involved. Obviously, you can donate to these links right now, but we’re planning to do something in the future. We’re trying to get it in place right now. [We] you have some ideas, but make sure you follow them, and we’ll tell you the ways we’re trying to get involved,” Jason said.

Travis ended the video by telling their fans that he would be hearing from them soon.
Their message comes days after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and his charity, Eighty-Seven & Running, donated $100,000 to GoFundMe to benefit Madison “Madi” Rose Reyes, 10, and Melia Reese Reyes, 8, who were injured on tournament. parade.
Chiefs running back Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany also visited the sisters, who were both shot in the legs.
“At a time when they are traumatized, grieving and worried, the surprise appearance of Patrick and Brittany Mahomes brought their first smiles to their faces since the tragedy. Although they will be wearing casts for several months, they are excited to show that they are loved by those Patrick signed for their cast,” their family told PEOPLE in an exclusive statement.
